Virginia Flyers is keeping the love of RC Helicopter flying alive and well in Nokesville, Virginia
Virginia Flyers is a dedicated group of RC flyers who operates an AMA RC Helicopter Flying Club in Nokesville, Virginia on Glenkirk Road. . We are sanctioned and insured by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) of which you must be a member of to join our club. AMA Membership can be done online at www.modelaircraft.org.
Also recently, the Federal Aviation Administration requires by an act of law, that all RC aircraft flyers in the USA register as a hobbyst UAS pilot. You can do this at http://www.faa.gov/uas/getting_started/fly_for_fun/
In order to join Virginia Flyers, you will need to be a member of the AMA, provide your AMA number and be registered with the FAA and provide your certificate. Both can be accomplished in just a few minutes online.
